STUFFED FULFILLMENT and A MONSTROUS NEW GAME

As shipping looks to finally begin, just wanted to quickly update everyone on where we are to the best of my knowledge.

ASIA: I'm told there was a holiday in China this week, so fulfillment should start cranking up next week with VFI.  I sincerely hope it's a bit quicker than we experienced with Who Goes There?, but please be patient. 

AUSTRALIA: Aetherworks has started the process and I expect to hear about the birdens and games arriving soon.

EUROPE:  I paid the customs bill early this week to make it EU friendly and get the inventory released to GamesQuest.  I don't have confirmation yet, but believe they will start fulfillment next week. 

US, CANADA, REST of WORLD:  I was told this morning by Ship Naked that the cargo is expected to arrive tomorrow, and they are prepared to get moving on fulfillment next week.  Fingers crossed. 

Thank you for your patience as we wrangle all the elements and finally get this game in your hands. I can't wait to hear your thoughts.  In the meantime, if you are looking for something to pass the time, please join us on our latest Kickstarter for D6 (aka...Dungeons, Dudes, Dames, Danger, Dice and Dragons).  Our very own Personal Birden makes an appearance, so we hope you do, too!

INTRODUCING A NOT SO NEW BIRDEN

Hey everyone in Stuffed land!  I had held off on this update because I wanted to give you the great news that your shipments are on their way.  Instead, I'm going to interrupt the originally planned update to introduce my dearest and closest friend that chirps at all hours of the night! 

ASIA : Everything has been given to VFI, but shipments have not yet started. I was hoping to get more of a head start with Asia, because we have learned it can be quite a slow process from our experience with Who Goes There.  My hope is this will start moving next week. 

AUSTRALIA: Got confirmation from Aetherworks this week that the inventory is accounted for and I expect shipments to start next week.  Get ready to be Birdened!

EUROPE: GamesQuest has received the plushy shipment, but we are still waiting for the games and other accessories to make their way through customs.  Everyday I wake up thinking today is the day, but it hasn't been the case yet.  Maybe Monday, or Tuesday, or...

UNITED STATES, CANADA, REST of WORLD:  Just learned today that a paperwork snafu occurred at some point and the shipment will not arrive to Ship Naked in Indianapolis until the first week of October.  They have promised to get them moving as fast as possible once they hit the floor.  Canada is being handled by Ship Naked as well, but will be sent in bulk to Snakes and Lattes for the final leg.  This means Canada will be roughly a week behind the U.S.   

I had really hoped to be through the bulk of fulfillment by the end of the month for a couple of reasons.  First, you need your game (and your Birdens), but also because we are launching our next campaign on October 1st.  I was hoping you'd already have your hands on Stuffed by then, but nonetheless, we hope you'll join us for what promises to be a fun ride!

FINALIZING ADDRESSES

It's time to make any last minute changes to your addresses in the surveys, so I will be sending out the notices shortly.  If you have moved or are moving soon, please make note.  If not, you are probably all set, unless you are part of the 4% that just haven't found time to complete their survey.  If you are in that group, please do so now. 

The timeline is still the same as I stated in the last update, with the boats scheduled to arrive early to mid September. With that in mind, most of you are ok to make last minute address changes for the next two weeks.  Asia, however, may be a little quicker.

ASIA: I just got word that all the inventory is now with VFI. As I've learned with Who Goes There, VFI fulfills a lot of the Asian countries, but they also send to specific outlets that specialize in individual areas. This can take time, so I would like to send a finalized backer report for ASIA this weekend so we can get moving.  I don't know their schedule, so I can't promise when your games will arrive, but I don't want them waiting on me.  So, Asia, I will be locking your pledges Sunday.  

For everyone else, I'll lock your surveys for address changes around September 1st. 

Also, for those of you that are interested, I ordered a few extra Stuffed Collector's coins based on anticipated demand.  If you have an interest in the coin, this is your last chance.  We have a very limited number left and won't be making any more once they are gone. If you are interested, send me an e-mail to [email protected] and I'll add it to your order. First come first serve until they are gone, and don't forget there's a handy dandy space for the coin in the box that it just happens to fit.

STUFFED: THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE BIRDENS

As mentioned in the video, we had a great Gen Con and really loved playing Stuffed with backers and newcomers alike! It was a blast, and especially great to meet so many awesome backers in person! 

Along with introducing Stuffed to the convention world, we've been trying our best to get the game in your hands! I've been holding off on an update until I got definitive answers, and now I have them...but it's not necessarily what I hoped.  I truly thought I was going to hit our August deadline on this one, but that proved to be slightly more ambitious than I imagined.  It's not terrible, but it's not on time...so that in itself is reason to apologize. So...I'm truly sorry!  That said, the games are scheduled to arrive to all the fulfillment centers mid September.  Being a relatively small game, the turnaround shouldn't be too bad once they get through customs, so I will remain optimistic.  

I'm looking forward to getting these games (and Birdens) in your hands as soon as possible.  Thanks for your patience.  In the meantime, feel free to give Jesse a hard time for all my shortcomings!  :)

STUFF WE HAVE LEARNED

I promised an update would come today, because we "had" great news!

As it turns out, the news wasn't as great as I expected.  We were told last week that the assembly of the games would be completed yesterday, so we've been working hard making plans to load the boats to get the games to the fulfillment houses across the lands.  Unfortunately, something must have delayed this, because they told me today they would be assembling this weekend.  I asked what happened to our schedule, but haven't received an answer yet.  To be fair, the manufacturer has been amazing to work with, which just made this seem a little odd.  But the games will be assembled and ready next week, so we'll set sail soon thereafter.  I was hoping to get everything to the fulfillment houses early enough in August to start getting them in your hands on the schedule we promised, but it may be early September now.  Thanks for being patient, and just generally amazing backers.
